MATTHEW 26:6-13, MARK 14:3-9, JOHN 12:1-11

At Bethany, Mary poured out expensive perfume onto Jesus’ feet, then wiped them dry with her hair. That latter act was pure devotion, can you imagine how long it would take her afterwards to remove the perfume from her hair? Yet, perhaps she didn’t, perhaps she kept it there as a reminder of her Master, particularly in view of the days that were coming.

How can we show such devotion? When was the last time we did something, however small, as an outward display of our devotion to our Saviour? It’s something that I will think about, but what about you? Perhaps just the simple act of declaring our faith in an increasingly hostile world is a good start?
