JOHN 11:55-57

They were now ready to arrest Jesus. It had got to this – they were now ready to whisk him away, preferably on the quiet, so they could interrogate him and correct him. They were treating him like a common criminal.

Isn’t it strange how some people feel threatened by the presence of good people around them? It’s as if they are reminded of their own inadequacies. I must confess I have this problem often with my wife, Monica, who always has time for others, will always pick up stray packaging from the floor and always uses the correct recycling boxes! Rather than feeling negative, perhaps we should emulate these people? It could be a big ask!
