MATTHEW 27:57-61, MARK 15:42-47, LUKE 23:50-56, JOHN 19:38-42

Joseph of Arimathea had favour with Pilate, otherwise he would never have been allowed to remove Jesus’ body and place it into his personal grave. So what does this tell us? It tells me that, despite the fact that our kingdom is not of this world, when we interact with those in the world, we do so with kindness, respect and a positive attitude. As it says in Titus 2:15, “do not let anyone despise you.”

Our ultimate gain, of course, is to win souls, but we should do this having built up sincere relationships with people, so that Jesus becomes attractive to them, if they see him in you. So, in this way, seek to win favour from people – God has many ways of working through you to reach others, so always be open to opportunities.
