JOHN 18:19-23

Jesus spoke truth to the High Priest and was struck on his face for it, apparently for his impertinence in his reply to questions. The High Priest clearly thought he had the authority to behave in this way. How wrong he was.

Perhaps one day you and I will be in a similar situation. Will we speak the truth, regarding our beliefs, knowing that the reaction is going to be similar for us. We need to pray for strength and courage because, surely, there are dark days ahead for us all.
