MATTHEW 26:25, JOHN 13: 26-38

Peter’s betrayal of Jesus is both hard and easy to understand. Hard … because of the back-story, the months Peter had spent in Jesus’ presence and the great faith he had shown at times. Easy … because self-preservation at the whiff of danger is common to most of us!

But Jesus gave Peter a second chance, although none was offered to Judas. We all fall at times but God is a God of second chances, so don’t despair, do what you need to do to make things right and be thankful for the grace he extends to us all.
