Ep. 114: True servanthood

JOHN 13:2-20

This was Simon with one of his many faux pas’s. You shall never wash my feet! With that statement he proved that he really didn’t understand Jesus’ ministry. Jesus put him right. No servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.

We must all wash each other’s feet. That is an imperative, even though we are speaking figuratively here in our application of it. Let’s not become arrogant because of our apparent ‘position’ in the kingdom, but, instead, emulate Jesus in humbling ourselves and showing true servanthood and true leadership.
