LUKE 22:17,18

When we take communion, we see it as a set sequence – we share the bread, then the wine as a gesture of remembrance of what Jesus did for us. Yet there’s more to it here, because he reaches into the future, just as we reach back to the past. He speaks of drinking wine again … when the Kingdom of God has come. He is coming back! Hallelujah! Now forget your problems and the mess the world is in … and rejoice in that fact!
