Ep. 112: True servanthood

LUKE 22:14-16

So the disciples at the Last Supper quibbled over who of them is the greatest! It seems that, even at this time, they still didn’t get it! Jesus reminded them that it is the one who serves who is to be the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven.

How we overlook the servants! We follow the world in our veneration of the pastors and teachers and leaders of ministries, yet Jesus would choose the one who cleans the toilets. We have inherited the exact same attitude as those proud disciples, have we learned nothing in 2,000 years? Today, how about demonstrating an act of pure servanthood, to remind others of the One True Servant that we follow.
