Ep. 106: Be fruitful

MATTHEW 25:14-30, LUKE 19:11-28

Whoever has will be given more and they will have an abundance. This quote from Jesus seems so unfair, reading out of context. Yet this was a parable in which good stewardship of finances is rewarded and fearful, faithless, inaction is condemned.

God puts us all into unique situations, familiar (and unfamiliar) scenarios where we are expected to ‘do the right thing’. If our motive is always informed by the Golden Rule (Love God and your neighbour) then He will reward us ‘with abundance’. This may require us to put our head above the parapet or at least to leave our comfort zone. We live in an age when this will be more required from us, so perhaps we should start now?
