Ep. 102: Many invited, few chosen

MATTHEW 22:1-14

In the parable of the wedding feast we not only see that the original invitees don’t turn up, but that some came inappropriately – without the correct clothing. The implication here is both of the privilege of an invite and the folly of coming without one – this person was thrown into the darkness as punishment.

The thing that strikes me here is why on earth would you not come in the first place. This is an invitation from the king! Surely this is to be taken seriously. Perhaps we should think about this afresh, about the sheer privilege of our calling. We are truly blessed!
