Here is where Jesus assured his disciples of a future. They knew he was going but they needed to know that it wouldn’t be an end. Here we have that famous quote, I am the Way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. This is possibly the most contentious Bible verse in today’s pluralistic climate, to show how far down we have got in the intervening 2000 years. There are many other options these days, but none have the truth, none give life … none are The Way. Hang on to this, this is the only lifeline we have to sanity in these troubles times.
