This is the story of how Jesus made himself known to a small insignificant family living in London.

This is the entertaining story of Steve Maltz and his mum, Phyllis and their journeys to faith in Jesus Christ.

It is principally about a 50-something Jewish mother (Phyllis) who improbably allowed the Messiah into her life, but it also includes a cast of colourful characters dramatic events, laughs and tears, and also charts the birth and rise of one of the most important Messianic fellowships in the UK

Steve says,

‘This is a tale of two families, a larger one and a smaller one.

The first is the family that gave me my cultural and religious identity, the Jewish nation.

The second, fitting comfortably within a small compartment of the first, is the family that gave me chicken soup, a sweet tooth and a bar mitzvah - my biological family

The first links me with luminaries such as David Ben Gurion, Moses and Albert Einstein.

The second has blessed me with Molly, Great Aunt Busha and Korky the Cat, and of course… my dear old Mum.’
