MATTHEW 20:29-34, MARK 10:46-52, LUKE 18:35-43

It was in the morning when he healed the blind man by the wayside, one named ‘Bar Timeus’. What must their faith have been, when there, in Jericho, they not only owned him as the true Messiah but also cried ‘Jesus, You Son of David, have mercy on me!’ And he, who listens to every cry of distress. Heard this. He stood still and commanded the blind to be called. In the language of Matthew, ‘Jesus had compassion on them and touched their eyes.’ In Mark and Luke came the words with which he accompanied the healing, ‘your faith has saved you.’
